I always wanted to be a singer, but it was always looked down upon by my family and so I never pursued it. This kinda left me lost in which direction to go career wise, so I just went into administration, something practical I suppose. However it never fulfilled my creative side and now in my early thirties, I have found my direction within Graphic Design. I am taking a Design Communication Arts Certificate program which I love. I wished I done it years ago, but never mind, it is great to finally find my direction. I must say I am drawn towards Illustration and Photography. I need to learn how to draw better offline, to increase my abilities within Illustration first. The photography part I am working on, practice makes perfect : ). Thanks for the info. When I went to uni, I thought I wanted to be an iIllustrator, but one day out in the big city with my camera completely changed my artistic direction. I'm now in my 40's (and fabulous), still doing photography, some jewelry work, the Director of Marketing for Art Gateway adn totally happy. Work hard and follow your dream- you never know where it will take you :)
